Frequently Asked Questions

  • Fan Grills

  • I saw a design you made but it isn’t in your shop. How do I purchase it?
          1. Shoot me a message! Our shop is just the tip of the iceberg. If you see something you like on our custom design queue/Trello or Instagram, let me know! I’ll get you set up.

  • How do I know what size fan grill I need? What if I order the wrong size?
          1. Computer fans come in two primary sizes - 120mm and 140mm. Of the two, 120mm is considerably more common, compromising around 90% of all gaming computer fans. If you are unsure what size your fans are, send me a picture of your rig! I can usually visually identify them.
          2. If you have multiple fans in a line, you can use a fan grill to cover several fans at once! In this case, you want a 240/280 or 360/420mm grill. These grills cover 2 or 3 computer fans respectively

  • How do you mount them?
          1. Fan grills are mounted using basic fan screws, which are provided. It may sound overly simplistic, but you literally just hold the fan grill up to the fan and screw it right on with the provided screws. It’s that easy!
          2. If you want to mount your grills to a radiator or liquid cooler, you will want to use the screws that were included with your liquid cooler. If they are not long enough, see the section below for info on what screws you will need!

  • What kind of screws do you need?
          1. Normally, you will mount them with standard PC M5 fan screws, which are included free with each grill.
          2. If you are mounting onto a liquid cooler or radiator, you may need longer screws. In that case, you want “6-32-Inch x 1-1/2-Inch Pan Head Phillips Machine Screws”. You can find them at the link below! (non affiliate) If they are not available in your country, message me! I can include them with your order for a small fee.

  • How do they affect airflow/temperatures/noise levels?
          1. This is a bit of a loaded question, as it greatly varies from design to design. Here is the boiled down answer:
            1. Designs that cover less than 50% of your fan will have the least impact on airflow, temperatures and noise levels.
            2. Most of our designs are made to obstruct less than 40% of your functional space, though some can be as high as 75%.
            3. The center of the fan is a “dead zone”. Where there are no fan blades, there is next to now air flow. This area is not included as functional space.
          2. Most people that use our grills report a negligible effect on their airflow, temperatures and system noise levels.
          3. I have specific test data on each of these metrics if you are curious and would like to know more. Just shoot me a message!

  • What are they made of?
        1. They are made of Polylactic Acid (PLA), a corn-based bioplastic. It is hard to the touch but is also biodegradable given the right conditions. We print our grills with 50% infill, so they are almost entirely solid. This is in contrast to the industry standard of 10-15% infill.

  • Shipping

  • Do you ship internationally / to my country?
          1. We use Etsy and Shopify’s International Shipping Programs for shipping across the world. For the most part, we are able to ship to nearly any country on Earth, with a small handful of exceptions. If your country is available for us to ship to, it should appear and allow you to checkout as normal.
          2.  If you have difficulty checking out or our checkout system does not list your country, message us and we can look into alternatives for you!

  • How long will it take for my order to ship?
          1. Because of how customizable our products are, they are all made-to-order in the order they are received - nothing is carried on hand.
          2. That being said, our typical processing time is 1-2 weeks from purchase date.
          3. This allows us time to reach your order in the print queue, print it, clean it up by hand and package it for shipping.

  • Do you offer rush processing?
        1. We do offer rush processing for an additional fee ($15-35 depending on rush speed) if you need something fast for any reason. Message us before purchasing to get this set up!
